A former Silicon Valley executive and self-taught “techie,” he simply gravitates toward the challenge of complex projects. A member of the local Experimental Aircraft Association and a former owner of a twin-Cessna airplane, Rod logs in close to 200 hours a year as a pilot. “There’s nothing like racing through the skies in a small aircraft,” he explains. “The sensation is truly out of this world.”
